Singer and songwriter Jeremy Messersmith is a huge Star Wars fan and a serious gamer, so much so that he named some of the songs he composed after famous video games titles such as Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 3.
Embarking on a quest to unite his love of Star Wars with his musical talent, Messersmith collaborated with animator Eric Power to create a lovely stop-motion music video, which is in fact an abridged version of Star Wars episodes IV, V and VI.
Every frame in the video has been created through manually animating the paper figures, which are fascinating pieces of art in themselves.
The video goes a long way to show that anyone with some craft paper, a pair of scissors, a tripod and a simple camera can produce a low-budget stop-motion animation, given that they have plenty of time.
